Safety management

How the program operates in the field

The Safety & Compliance Division implements training, field inspections, incident prevention and regulatory compliance under OSHA, Cal/OSHA and agency-specific requirements.

Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)

A written IIPP governs hazard identification, correction, training, recordkeeping and accountability across every project site.

Daily job hazard analysis and tailboard briefings

Crews document site-specific hazards, control measures, escape routes and emergency contacts before work begins each day.

Equipment inspection protocols

Digital Vehicle & Equipment Inspection Reports run through SiteDocs, with defects logged and corrected before operation.

Environmental compliance oversight

Erosion control, riparian buffers, sensitive species protection, spill prevention and dust suppression are managed as safety controls, not afterthoughts.

Credentials held across the workforce

Certifications are tracked centrally and verified before crews mobilize.
